Actor Riteish Deshmukh, known for his versatility in both comedy and intense roles, expressed deep gratitude today for being consistently cast in successful film franchises, describing it as a “privilege” to lead them.
Deshmukh, who recently featured in Housefull 5—a box office hit—revealed that he’s currently working on forthcoming installments of the beloved Masti and Dhamaal. Speaking candidly about his career, he noted, “I think every actor should feel fortunate if they’re part of any franchise or any have gone into second part, and here I am, you know, currently, doing 4 films probably. I feel extremely fortunate to be part of movies that people have probably so much appreciation that we are able to make a part three and a part four.”
Acknowledging the risk of franchise fatigue, he added, “The fatigue will lie with the audience or the audience fatigue factor to it and also these instalments are coming in long gaps. They are coming are five years and even 10 years for that matter. So, it’s not like they are coming back every month.”
The 46-year-old actor also credits the audience, saying, “That’s all thanks to the audience.” In addition to his acting commitments, Deshmukh is also directing his second Marathi film, Raja Shivaji—a testament to his expanding creative pursuits behind the camera.
